Sitting outside one afternoon my daughter comes up to me and says, “mom my flashlight isn’t working.” My immediate response was “baby, flashlights require dark places in order for their lights to show.”

You know what came next right???

Daddy (God) is trying to tell us the SAME thing. We say things like my (spiritual) light isn’t shining bright enough; I promise it’s on.

His response… Baby, your flashlight (spirit) needs to be taken into a dark place to allow it to shine so bright you can see it.

Even when we take an actual flashlight into the dark we are scared but we trust that the light shinning is enough to keep us safe. 😉

 

Prayer: 

I want to be bold in you God. I want to go into those dark places that people without flashlights are afraid to go. I will trust that your flashlight will guide my path. In Jesus name. – Amen
