This is so important to remember when showing Christ’s love to others. His words were never meant to be harmful and hurtful. Don’t take the “Holier than you” seat and go around hurting others. There’s already enough hurt in the world….. the whole chapter explains so much of how to treat each other…. please take a minute to read it
Earlier in the chapter it says 14:3) Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

(It’s silly for Christ followers to think this means we shouldn’t judge each-other. Because we as Christ followers know and understand that we are to help each-other when we are making wrong choices. Not in a way to anger each-other, but in a caring and loving manor.)

This verse is for the people who think that by slamming God down someone’s throat they are doing them a favor. When we eat, our food gets digested and it leaves our bodies. Same would be for slamming God down their throats. It’s going to leave because it wasn’t implanted in their hearts.

How can you fix this one might ask? That answer has got to be the simplest complex answer there ever was. Show them your love.

Remember that stopping the ability for someone else to grow can cause them to stray,  do you really want that responsibility?

I don’t want to be the reason someone isn’t able to fully capture the love you offer. Show me to love like you love. In Jesus name. -Amen
