Trapped

Finding yourself trying your hardest to do God’s will and every time you make a move it’s like a road block is in your way?

We all wake up each morning hopeful. Sometimes we have more hope than others, and then other times we find that when we look around we see others having more hope than we do. Everyone struggles with something in their lives. For some the struggle they are facing happens to start as soon as they open their eyes. Could we choose another path today? Would it be possible to dig our way out of the rut so many of us find ourselves in?

I want to tell you YES, the answer you NEED to hear is YES. You can dig yourselves out… as long as you give Christ the shovel. He has all the strength you need! See when we try to dig ourselves out our arms get tired, we get weak, and suddenly we find ourselves giving up.

The statement “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” is really helpful in time of need, but in the same Chapter of Philippians just a few verses up something even more powerful is said, and often gets overlooked. Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7) and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In this we can see that if we give Christ the shovel and with continual prayer we can get out of that trapped rut we find ourselves in so often.

Prayer:

I find it becoming more difficult to move forward, and I want to ask that you place a sense of peace all around me. Place reminders in my path that show your love and guidance. In Jesus name. – amen
