Dear Future:

The plan is to set fear and doubt in everyone’s mindset. I know this because every time I glance at the news, social media; or any public place for that matter, the scent is lurking. The thought of the unknown can at times be overwhelming. I believe that you are also trying to bring more diversity into our lives than any of us have ever thought we would witness.

While it is a possibility that you could bring these things, I feel like your plan is going to fail. See while your negative thoughts invade the minds of many, I believe that God is getting His people prepared. Prepared to do what He set out to do when He sent His only son to die for our sins. Is there one thing that can fix hate, fear, anxiety, doubt, depression, loneliness, bitterness, and selfishness? That answer fully depends on who you think Jesus is. See the Bible tells us Jesus was love to all of these, and I believe that the future is going to be bright!

How can I think that with so much despair surrounding us daily you might ask? The answer is simple, Jesus is Love. Loving these things takes action, God’s people are the action. All of these negatives have been in our lives for generations before us, therefore to begin fixing them is going to take work. Getting outside of your own comfort zone. 

Did you know that loving someone can be done in a range of ways, starting with something as small as a simple smile to a stranger. If you start small not fully understanding how or why, the change will begin to take place in you and those around you. So Future, I say to you, look out! You might think you’ve got it all figured out, but this victory has already been won.

God, I want to start small, if I start there I will trust and believe that you will guide me in a way to show your love! In Jesus name. -Amen.
