Truth

Can you understand the importance of telling the truth? Not just the parts that you want to point out because they don’t make you or your situation look as bad as it really is, but also the painful parts that come along with the truth. Letting go of the feelings the truth brings along for the ride, and being completely raw. Allowing those around you to understand the pain your truth brings. Finding those that when you tell the truth to them, they don’t turn on you. Instead they embrace your truth?

Maybe you can be the person who embraces. Maybe you can listen to someone else’s truth, without turning on them. Maybe you hold the power in your words to allow someone to break free of their guilt, lies, depression, and so on.

We’ve all hid the truth at some point in our lives, and some of us are walking around you right now holding on to something that is weighing us down.

Truth does have the power to set you free, you just have to be ready for any reaction you may receive. If you have tried the whole “telling the truth” thing, and it hasn’t been the “free setting” feeling you thought it would be; I want to encourage you to keep going. Keep pushing through that pain. Keep trying to find someone who will listen and understand.

PRAYER:

Telling the truth can be painful, sometimes the results of telling the truth are worse than the truth itself. Give us strength to keep pushing through all of that. We trust and believe that when we release the truth, that you will allow a healing process to begin. In Jesus name. – Amen.
