Hey guys,
It’s been a few days since I have made a new post, I promise I will be back soon, I am still writing but on another assignment right now. I felt a huge pull to write, so here we go.
Every time we turn around there is a new natural disaster that has taken place. Destruction lurking, and we can never be sure when it may happen to us. Most of us, including myself search for answers. Why? How? Will it happen again? Will it be worse next time? As humans we may never know the answers to these questions. So what do we do? First we pray, then we believe in our prayers. If we are praying correctly we should always remember to ask God for his will to be done. We do have power in our prayers, as well as power in our believing. So, what happens when those prayers aren’t answered the way we expected them to be? What happens when you’ve prayed for a loved one, only to find out they didn’t make it? It saddens me to even be writing something like this. I can’t imagine the hurt families have felt when it comes to unexpected death. I myself have not experienced something like this so I can’t fully explain that pain. I can tell you it must hurt. It must feel like the weight of the world is on you, and for that I can’t begin to express my sadness with you. What I do know is this, no matter the outcome, Jesus loves you. He see’s your hurt and pain. As I reflect on every natural disaster I have seen in the news or locally, God sends people to comfort you. He sends those with a heart of compassion, His heart. He sends people who see hurt and want to show love instead. In south Georgia right now, I can see so many people who care. So many people who may not even understand why they want to help, but feel such a need to do so. Allow these people to love you.
If you are showing Christ’s love, I commend you!
Another thing I have noticed that natural disasters do is, make on lookers realize how much we don’t need stuff. Instead we realize how important relationships are. That’s why there is usually an overwhelming sense of support. Suddenly race no longer matters, sex origin has no place, and religion differences are put on the back burner. Does it matter who gets your clothes you donate? Does it matter who gets the water you supplied? Does it matter that you’ve given a sandwich to someone who thinks differently than you? NO, what matters is you have compassion in your heart and you want to love. Love unconditionally, love without limits, love without criticism, love without hate. We may never know why, but we do know what should and always does happen after.
PRAYER:
God, please give us a heart of compassion. We want to love this way daily. We want to care unconditionally. Show us who needs your love, and give us the courage to show it. In Jesus name. – Amen.
Amen to the prayer! Good job on your post! I commend you for showing God’s love!
These things are difficult to write about, I just found that out when I was writing my post on it. Check it out @ https://christcraftsandcuisine.wordpress.com/
