Hey everyone! I hope you are having an amazing day, I would like to write some encouragement for you. 

Recently I decided to take a faith step. Following through with my decision seems to me like it was easier than taking the first step. I want to explain why it was this way for me, and remind you that just because the first step was most difficult for me, it doesn’t mean it will be for you.  If you’ve read my blogs previously, you know I like to write about situations I go through in life. I feel; if I experience it, I can help others get through it better. 

So, why was the first step so hard? Have you ever allowed your thoughts to run wild with what could happen? Have you allowed those thoughts to precedence over what God says about the situation? With the step I was about to take, I allowed my thoughts to have full reigns and what God had planned was placed on the back burner. Instead of focusing on what was placed in my heart to accomplish, I began questioning; how, why, what, when, and where. At some point (months later) I realized my thoughts were taking over and I suddenly couldn’t see myself accomplishing my original task.  

If I believed; in my heart that God placed a task for me to do, I shouldn’t allow my personal thoughts to out weigh this. Our motives start from our hearts; our heart’s are where the foundation Christ’s love begins. When we ask God to enter in, he starts in our hearts. 1 Chronicles 28:9 reminds us that “the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you” I realized that no matter how scary my faith step would be, God knew the outcome. Besides, He wouldn’t have placed it in my heart to accomplish it if it wasn’t in His will. When you are faced with your thought’s taking over, try to remember “God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT) 

I believe with prayer you can accomplish more than you know you’re capable of! Keep God first in your task, pray, love, and succeed!
