Recently I took my faith to a new level, I began asking God to order my steps. In others words I was asking Him to guide my every second, like the “Blanca” song says… (If you say go, I’m not gonna wait. If you say move, I won’t hesitate.) It’s in my heart for this to happen daily, even when my schedule seems overloaded with life. I desire to live a life fully lead by the Holy Spirit that Jesus left for each of us to have. In order to get to this point I needed to grow in my spiritual walk and for me that meant I need to pick up slack in reading God’s word. For me it was a task getting started because I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with reading anything. So it was rocky to begin with, but as with anything else in life, with practice it became easier and easier. After diving into the Bible for myself, I began seeing things I never heard before which intrigued me to continue reading. The deeper I got in His word, the deeper my connection with the Holy Spirit became. After testing out my faith I learned it was more important to focus on others than myself, so I asked God to guide my steps daily. Some days I wake up and my encounters with others are small and other days I wake up and the encounters are more important and even considered as an emergency type of situation. I say this to brag on what Jesus can do in our lives when we realize how important it is to have that solid foundation, one that we can stand firm on because we know that we know that we know God is real.
Soon after stepping out on faith, I began seeing more alignment and more specifically placed details in my life (as long as I was being obiedient and doing what I was being lead to do).
Here is an example in my life that shows how God is moving in our lives daily, sometimes we just need to slow down from the busy and listen.
I needed to ship something off via UPS, so I took the package to a local store. This particular package was found while I was getting rid of junk that piled up in my house through the years, it had somehow gotten mixed in with that. After taking a load of junk off, I felt a tug to take the package. That day, I had someone riding with me so I left the littles in the car with her. While in the store, I began talking to the clerk and our conversation was a little lengthy, after finally getting out of the store I went to my car where the person who was with me was glowing with excitement. She immediately said to me, “let me tell you what God just did!” In excitement I said yes, please tell me!! She went on to explain that a friend she hadn’t seen in a while parked next to our car and when she saw her, Holy Spirit guided her to pray with the friend. Without going into detail, just know it was an amazing experience and the only way it happened was because it was God ordained!
About 2 weeks or so later I got a phone call from the person who was riding with me the day I shipped off the package. She said I have this friend who is going through a spiritual battle and I wanted to ask if we could pray for her, so of course I said yes, let’s make this happen today! The friend of my friend took her lunch break and came to talk with us both and for prayer. Again, without going into details, it was AMAZING. The friend of my friend got freedom that day and it all started because of a package that was found in a pile of trash. If I had chosen to simply throw the package away because it was WAYY late and probably didn’t matter anymore… This opportunity wouldn’t have been available! You never know what you can step into if you continue to walk daily in guidance from Holy Spirit!
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 14:26 NKJV
Prayer: God, I want to thank you for guiding us daily and allowing us to be lead by the Holy Spirit. I ask that whoever is reading this gets strengthened in their faith and and when you ask them to do something they have the faith and courage to step out and do it. In Jesus name, amen.
