Do you know what you are capable of? Do you know how much potential God has placed inside of you? Do you know your worth? Do you know your purpose? Do you know how much you are loved? Do you know how much you were created to love others?
Sleeping Giant Arise became what it is because I have been the ONE lost. Often times, in our deepest struggle, we find our purpose and that is exactly what happened in my life. I want to encourage you in life’s journey with sharing many of the dysfunctions in my own. However, I now allow God to make them functional! Saying I am going to choose to trust God, or choose His ways over my own is so easy to say… and yet, at times, SO difficult to do! I love how the Shepard would leave the 99 sheep to find ONE that was lost, and I believe that when we encourage one another, we can guide lost sheep back to God! The goal of this blog site has always been centered on the fact that, if I can only help ONE person find hope in their discouragement, that is more than enough! I want to encourage the ONE with questions, the ONE who’s doubting, the ONE hurting, the ONE that doesn’t know their self worth, the ONE that feels abandoned, the ONE that feels outcast and help that ONE overcome through Jesus!
After I became a Christian, I found out there was a metaphorical Giant (purpose) inside me, someone that got suppressed due to challenges in life and through my relationship with God, I rose up out of my sleep and began walking taller. I want to encourage you to find the giant within you that God has placed in you as well! Sleeping Giant Arise!
“Do this, knowing that this is a critical time. It is already the hour for you to awaken from your sleep [of spiritual complacency]; for our salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed [in Christ]. The night [this present evil age] is almost gone and the day [of Christ’s return] is almost here. So let us fling away the works of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light. Let us conduct ourselves properly and honorably as in the [light of] day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility, not in quarreling and jealousy. But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for [nor even think about gratifying] the flesh in regard to its improper desires.”
